Nancy Ortberg, CEO

Nancy is passionate about improving personal and organizational effectiveness and believes that teams are the most dynamic way to produce those results. She believes in helping people bring the best of who they are to what they do best. Her particular interests are in analyzing and catalyzing the flow of energy and strategy in healthy, dynamic leadership teams.

Nancy Ortberg - CEO

Gary Gaddini was born in San Francisco and grew up in Novato, a suburban city located 25 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. He is extremely grateful for his full-blooded Italian heritage.

Prior to joining our team, he served as lead pastor of Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City for 24 years after a 21-year career serving in Student and Family Ministries. Gary earned a BS in Business Management from Sacramento State University, (which Gary affectionately refers to as the Harvard of the West) and an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.

Gary and his wife Anne have been married for 31 years and have five awesome daughters.

Gary’s hobbies include running trails in western San Mateo County, enjoying time with good friends, reading, playing and doing anything with his wife and daughters.

Veronica Haniger, Director of Communications

Veronica joined the TBC team in November of 2016. She thrives on seeing those around her begin to realize and move into their strengths. She believes that real transformation happens when ordinary individuals are actively using their unique strengths and talents and is passionate about challenging those around her to explore those unique traits.

Cabinet Members

Pat Gelsinger, Chairman of the Board

Pat currently serves as CEO of Intel. Prior to Intel, he served as CEO of VMWare for 8 years. Pat has more than 30 years of experience in general management and product development positions.

Kevin Compton, Cabinet Member

Kevin joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 1990. Since joining KPCB, Kevin's investments have focused on enterprise software and the telecommunications industry. Kevin is a Co-founder and Partner at Radar Partners. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of two public companies, Citrix Systems and VeriSign.

Steve Clifford, Cabinet Member

Steve joined WestGate Church as Lead Pastor in 2001. After receiving his Graduate Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, he served as an Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor and Worship Pastor prior to serving at WestGate. Steve has been known to say, “I’m not what I ought to be, but thank God I am not what I used to be."

Pastor Hurmon is a native of San Francisco, but he was raised in Coushatta, Louisiana. earned his B.A. in Philosophy and History from Grambling State University and his Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. For seventeen years, Pastor Hurmon served as Senior Pastor of Roxbury Presbyterian Church in Boston, MA. In 1998, Pastor Hurmon helped found the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization. In 2011, he returned to the Bay Area and served as the Teaching Pastor of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship (ACLF) in Mountain View for 2 years. Following his tenure at ALCF, he led the birthing of New Beginnings Community Church in April 2014, where we passionately serves as Senior Pastor.

Kevin Palau, Cabinet Member

Kevin Palau is President and CEO of the Luis Palau Association. He joined LPA in 1985 and began directing the day-to-day operations of the ministry in the late 1990s. Under his leadership, LPA has united tens of thousands of churches in hundreds of cities to love and serve their communities and clearly share the Good News of Jesus.

Sushil Chacko, Cabinet Member

Sushil has a professional background in finance, business administration and non-profit fundraising. She currently serves as the Director of Finance at Able Works. She is passionate about the mission of TBC to set aside denominational differences and work with city and business leaders to build the community through unity, compassion and service. Sushil and her husband have been married for 30 years and have three adult children.

Peter Wagner, Cabinet Member

Peter Wagner is a Founding Partner of Wing. He focuses on business technology, seeking out founders and opportunities that have the potential to transform or create explosive markets. Peter has led investments in dozens of early stage companies, many of which have gone on to complete IPO's or successful acquisitions. Since leaving Accel in 2011 and founding Wing, Peter invests in and helps to build exciting early stage business technology ventures

Lip-Bu Tan is Founder and Chairman of Walden International, a leading venture capital firm founded in 1987; and Founding Managing Partner of Celesta Capital and Walden Catalyst Ventures. He concurrently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Cadence Design Systems, Inc., and has been a member of the Cadence Board of Directors since 2004.

He currently serves on the Boards of Directors at Schneider Electric and SoftBank Group. He also serves on the Board of Trustees and the School of Engineering Dean’s Council at Carnegie Mellon University, a member of the College of Engineering Advisory Board at University of California Berkeley, Global Advisory Board Member of METI Japan, the Board of Global Semiconductor Alliance, and a member of The Business Council and Committee 100.

Lip-Bu serves as an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley.
